Research Interests

Childhood obesity, cultural influences associated with children's health and healthy work environments for nurses.

Current/Recent Grants and Projects

  • Nurses to Nurses: Improving RN Retention & Patient Care. The purpose of this project is to improve nurses’ work environment.  Research shows that work environment is a leading contributor to nurse satisfaction and retention and has a direct impact on the quality of patient care.  Role: Co-investigator, 1/22/07 - present.
