Jason Manning
Executive Director, Digital Media Educational Outreach & Student Services Affiliated Faculty, Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication
As Executive Director of Digital Media, EOSS, Jason Manning directs media, messaging, and content creation that serves all of ASU's students.
He also serves as ASU's director of Student Media and adviser to the university's award-winning student media outlets, The State Press and Blaze Radio.
At ASU's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, Manning has taught courses on digital technology, migration, political communication, and ethics. He has co-led student reporting projects in Central and Southern Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Canada, Nicaragua, Peru, Panama, and Costa Rica.
Manning is also an experienced trainer and presenter on digital media, media literacy, and election coverage. He has trained professional journalists in the United States and abroad -- in places as varied as Botswana, the Dominican Republic and Pakistan.
Prior to his service at ASU, Manning worked as a journalist for The Washington Post, PBS NewsHour, and U.S. News & World Report.
