Ruth Jones joined the Arizona State University faculty in 1981. She received her bachelor's degree from Indiana State University and her doctorate from Georgetown University. Professor Jones is the author of numerous book chapters on campaign finance and has contributed articles to the Journal of Politics, American Journal of Political Science, Western Political Quarterly, and the Legislative Studies Quarterly. Earlier work on political socialization was published in Journal of Early Adolescence, Journal of Political Science, Youth and Society, Urban Education, the Journal of Negro Education, and International Journal of Political Education. Her current consulting focuses on state-level campaign finance and her research and teaching interests include money and politics and political scandals. She was a founding member of the Arizona Citizens Clean Elections Commission.
