Michele Rourke

Bio

Michele joined the department in 1994 as a Police Recruit.  She has enjoyed serving in a variety of positions during her 20 year career including Commander, Sergeant, Corporal, Field Training Officer, and Recruit Training Officer for three classes at the Arizona Law Enforcement Academy.  Michele has experience in many areas to include Special Events, Patrol, Evidence, Fleet, Crime Prevention, Training, and Clery Act compliance.  She has collaborated with major federal and state entities such as the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the Arizona Division of Emergency Management (ADEM), State and Local Anti-Terrorism Training (SLATT), and Margolis, Healy and Associates, to bring valuable training to the agency. 

Commander Rourke has been serving as Interim Assistant Chief of Police since July 2014.  She has previously served as Commander over Support Services Division and as Commander at the West campus.
