Kay Faris is the Senior Associate Dean for Students and Special Advisor to the Dean in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. In this role, Faris focuses on approximately 16,000 students at the W. P. Carey School of Business assuring that they have an outstanding culture to support their academic and co-curricular experience. She works with students, faculty and staff to meet the needs of all students. Additionally, she oversees academic affairs and international partnerships.
Prior to this role, Faris served as Senior Associate Dean for Academic Programs where she guided and managed the mix of academic programs across five campuses, overseeing curriculum, delivery and administration for undergraduate, graduate, online and international programs.
From 2004-2015, Faris was the Undergraduate Dean in the W. P. Carey School of Business. Under her guidance, the school grew to more than 12,000 students enrolled in 10 Bachelor of Science majors, a Bachelor of Arts degree with 17 concentrations, 10 certificates and two business minors. She provided overall administration for all aspects of the program including recruitment, student engagement, advising, curriculum development and business career services. Additionally, she oversaw the accreditation process for the W. P. Carey School of Business.
Faris was born and raised in Indiana and received her PhD from Arizona State University, a master’s degree from Bowling Green State University and her bachelor’s degree from Manchester University.
