Long Bio
Laura Gonzales-Macias is interim executive director of American Indian Student Support Services at Arizona State University. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology, minor in sociology, at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. She received her master's and doctorate in educational psychology at ASU. Gonzales-Macias’ research is in school psychology. She is recognized by the Arizona Department of Education as a certified School Psychologist. Family inspires her interests: factors affecting student outcomes, multiculturalism, and professional and leadership preparation. She teaches AIS 440: Cultural Professionalism and supervises students earning academic credit through applied projects.
