As advisor to the vice provost and dean, Audrey is responsible for establishing ASU’s College of Technology & Innovation (CTI) as a leader in the national maker movement. She leads strategic initiatives for the College and dedicates her time to developing and sustaining new programs that transform higher education and scale CTI’s innovative model of teaching and learning.
Audrey completed her B.A. in communication at Illinois State University and earned an M.A. from the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication at Arizona State University before teaching in Chicago-area community colleges and returning to ASU. In previous positions at both the ASU Teachers College and the ASU Office of the President, Audrey’s work has focused on thinking strategically across diverse contexts and advocating ideas among disparate stakeholders. Audrey has led the creation, implementation and institutionalization of several new university-wide initiatives related to education reform and entrepreneurship.
Audrey is an advocate for women’s participation in entrepreneurship and is currently working on her doctorate; her research focuses on engaging college women in entrepreneurship courses and extra-curricular activities. She also manages her own design and communication firm with an emphasis on supporting small business.
