Irma Sandercock most recently served as an instructional designer for EdPlus at Arizona State University, focusing on special projects and quality course design initiatives. Responsibilities included serving as lead instructional designer for the International Masters in Biomedical Diagnostics project developed in collaboration with Dublin City University. Irma also was the lead instructional designer for domain teams tasked with developing interactive online modules for the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine’s Science of Health Care Delivery Program.
In addition, Irma has helped to develop collaborative online environments to refine course facilitation. Irma has presented at numerous regional and national professional education conferences including Quality Matters and Educause.
While at EdPlus Irma worked with faculty to design pedagogically sound courses, seeking to infuse technology into teaching and learning at the university level, creating collaborative learning experiences in virtual learning environments. Prior to coming to ASU, Irma served as a master teacher and professional development specialist in elementary and special education classrooms, working with low-income and ELL student populations, as well as mentoring educators in the use of educational technology.
