CAC recommends COM101 or COM 263.

Arts and Humanities: A minimum of 3 credits must be earned from the Arts and a minimum of 3 credits from the Humanities. CAC recommends ART 100 or MHL 207; and HIS 101, 102, PHI 112 or PHI 105.

Select a course that fulfills this requirement from any discipline except SOC. CAC recommends ASB 102 or PSY 101.

Physical and Biological Sciences: Select courses with laboratory requirements. Select at least one SQ Natural Science.

Select AGEC courses to fulfill these requirements. 1) At least 3 semester credits of coursework in Intensive Writing & Critical Inquiry. 2) At least 3 semester credits of coursework in Cultural Awareness (Ethnic/Race/Gender). 3) At least three semester credits of coursework emphasizing Global/International Awareness or Historical Awareness.*

Fulfills Computer Competency requirement.

Lower Division Related Field course requirement- Select three courses that transfer to ASU as direct equivalents or Departmental Electives in the following ASU prefixes: AFR, ASB, CDE, ECN, FAS, GCU, HST, POS, PSY, TCL, & WST.

Lower Division Related Field course requirement- Select two courses that transfer to ASU with the ASU Social & Behavioral Sciences (SB) designation in the Course Equivalency Guide (CEG) (in addition to the AGEC courses above).

Lower Division Sociology elective- Select two courses that transfer to ASU as a direct equivalent or Departmental Elective in the ASU SOC prefix.

Lower Division Electives should be completed once all other requirements have been met and only if needed to complete community college's associate degree requirements.
